The Process

A standard CPS solution contains the following items:

  • Site License agreement
  • Signs that display the terms and conditions for parking
  • Parking permits
  • Parking charge tickets.

How the process works.

Display the contractual warning signs

1. We will discuss your needs and requirements to provide a fully effective solution – we will then supply all the necessary signage which will state the terms and conditions for parking on the land and these should be erected in clear and prominent positions.

This way we can ensure they are visible and located positions whereby all drivers can see them, this ensures that when a ticket is issued we can enforce it, rather than the driver getting away with the charge by citing inadequate signage.

Provide parking permits

2. We will give you parking permits for staff and clients if required.

Contravening the terms

3. Following the above, should a vehicle park and the need to issue a parking charge arises, the landowner or authorised person acting on behalf (ie. yourself/staff or our warden) will issue a parking charge notice. This is a legally enforceable charge that attaches to the windscreen and outlines the reason for issue and details on how to pay. When removed, the stickers will not leave a residue. We also insist that photographs of the vehicle are taken, in case of any query by the vehicle owner at a later date – these will also be produced in court to prove a vehicle was parked on the land and in clear view of the contractual warning signs.

We also have a product called “Click Charge” – You simply take a photograph of the vehicle with the signage in clear view and upload to our database, we will process the details and issue the charge via post.

Note

If, after 28 days the charge remains outstanding, we request the licensing details from the DVLA and our legal department will write to the registered keeper and commence the formal collection process against the driver or where the keeper is unable or unwilling to supply the drivers name & address we will under Schedule 4 of The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 pursue the keeper for the charge. During this process, we are bound at all times by the Independent Parking Committee (Approved Operator Scheme) code of practice and requirements defined by the DVLA and The Data Protection Act for the release and processing of data.

In the event of a charge issued by our “Click Charge” system we will request keeper details immediately and our legal department will write to the registered keeper and commence the formal collection process against the driver or where the keeper is unable or unwilling to supply the drivers name & address we will under Schedule 4 of The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 pursue the keeper for the charge. During this process, we are bound at all times by the Independent Parking Committee (Approved Operator Scheme) code of practice and requirements defined by the DVLA and The Data Protection Act for the release and processing of data.

Should you wish to cancel any issued parking charge ticket for whatever reason within 14 days, it will be done free of charge (seperate charges are in operation for charges issued by using the “Click Charge” system). This ensures that only genuine “offenders” and not customers etc are issued with a parking charge.

On completion of the charge, a compensatory payment of £25 (Inc VAT) is returned to you.
